Weekend eye candy: A whole week of time lapses

Weekend eye candy: A whole week of time lapses

Add it to the list of things to be thankful for this season -- Dr. Dale and his wonderful time lapses!

He's on a new server now, and that's allowing him to capture more and more of these windows into the weather world. And your positive comments sure help!

This week, he had his camera rolling on six full days since last Friday. Enjoy!

November 20: A stormy day. Watch the Navy ship just make it around the bend before the rains begin. Also, near the end after the sun breaks, watch the air and clouds slosh around in the hills in the "mountain bowl" on the right side of the screen.

November 21: There's snow in them, thar hills! Watch as it storms through the morning, then the cloud layer peels back just a little to reveal some new snow on the higher elevations.

November 22: A spectacular sunrise, then clouds return. Note in the afternoon, I think you can actually see the snow melting in the mountains.

November 23: A gorgeous sunrise to show off even more snow and then -- cue the fog horns again! Note again, I think you can actually see the snow melting in the mountains.

November 26: A sunny day at the start, then clouds increase in the afternoon, but not enough to mess with a beautiful sunset!

November 27: A thankfully quiet Thanksgiving. Note the wind shear from about midday on, and the mountain-generated cloud waves.

Have a great weekend!
